Training Philosophy
Our method of training is known as Positive Reinforcement Training. Based in the Science of Applied Behavior Analysis, Positive Reinforcement Training (+R) utilizes the addition of a reward (or a reinforcing stimulus) following a desired behavior. Praise, life’s rewards (games, walks, car rides etc.) or treats and food rewards are commonly used.
Our methods are force free and set our canine companions up to succeed! Our students are eager and happy to work and learn! Countless studies have shown that not only does +R improve success at teaching a new behavior, it is also better for animal welfare as well as strengthening the human / canine bond.
