February 10, 2021
We hope this message finds you and your families safe and healthy. It’s been a few months since we sent an update so here goes.

As you are probably aware, we are still working on a curbside only basis.
Despite our disinfection and safety protocols, which are second to none, exam rooms are simply not big enough for any kind of practical personal distancing to protect you or us. We certainly wish it could be different. Curbside service definitely poses some hardships for our staff, who must weather the heat, cold, rain and humidity. However, most of the veterinary hospitals in the area have experienced temporary closures due to Covid outbreaks among their staffs. We have so far been able to avoid that. Our employees have been doing a lot of cross-training to increase our flexibility and efficiency in handling our caseload while we all endure the coronapocalypse constraints. We apologize for the inconvenience of our precautionary measures but, our first and foremost obligation is to do what we must to continue to be able to serve you and our patients. We also know that it is difficult for many of you to be separated from your beloved pets while they are in our care. But rest assured, we are all extreme animal lovers and every patient is treated with kindness and love when they are with us. So, for now, please give us a call at 671-3400 when you arrive. We still ask that you pick up prescription diets and medications at the drive- through pharmacy window. However, when the drive-through line becomes too long, which sometimes happens, feel free to use one of the numbered spaces to park. Then give us a call and we’ll bring what you need out to your car. As always, calling ahead will speed up the process.

Traffic Safety:
There have been a couple of serious car accidents near our entrance on Boyette Rd. The ridiculous speeds that people drive on that stretch of Boyette, combined with the very annoying U-turn diversion that drivers must now take to get to the Post Office, have made our entrance intersection pretty scary. When you are leaving our office and must make a left turn onto Boyette, please consider turning right and making a U-turn just 100 yards down the road. Also, don’t forget there is a back exit from our office that will get you to Hwy 301 northbound a little more safely.

Boarding Upgrade!:
Later this week (with a little luck), we will be moving our boarding kennel operations to a temporary facility at the southwest corner of the office park, right by Tom Rd, about 200 yards from the current kennel. We are doing this so that we can demolish the old kennel building and construct a newer, much more updated boarding facility. But don’t let the phrase “temporary facility” turn you off. Even our temporary facility (Petside Manor) is an extreme upgrade from our current boarding kennel, with brand new, beautiful and more comfortable accommodations for your pets. We are also taking advantage of the shade from the big oaks in the play yard. For now, most grooming appointments will still be handled at the main clinic. You can still reach all our facilities via the 671-3400 number.

Looking for a new career?
We have trained hundreds of people to care for animals over the years. And, to keep up with our demand, we are often looking for new, hard working employees who are as passionate as we are about animal care. We are especially interested in people with previous experience in service and hospitality industries. Keep in mind that this is a very “active” profession…everyone in the hospital is in constant motion! To learn more about job opportunities with us, contact April, our HR Director at 671-3400.

Last but not least:
2020 was a challenging year to say the least. We have done our best to be there for you and we sincerely appreciate you being there for us!!

Read What Our Clients Say

  • "I can't express how Thankful I am for the Doctors and staff here. I brought my chihuahua "son" in yesterday for a check up after being attacked by a neighbors large dog earlier in the week. As usual, we both were treated with great care and concern as I also was a bit emotional. This is a place were the staff Truly care about animals/pets. I wouldn't take my fur babies Anywhere else and have referred my friends multiple times."
