All guests staying at Boyette Petside Manor receive two leisurely walks per day in our fenced play yard, accompanied by a caring staff member. Our guests receive fresh water twice per day, and are fed according to your instructions, just like at home. The suites are cleaned each morning, and again when needed throughout the day. Our guests receive individual play time per day and plenty of tender, caring touches through their stay.

Guests staying five nights or longer will receive a complimentary spa treatment which includes a bath, nail trim, ear cleansing, anal sac expression, and brush out.

Bringing your family member's own bedding is acceptable. We will wash all belongings prior to check out at no charge for you. Of course, all guests will be provided with bedding if none is brought with them.

It is recommended that you provide your dog's normal diet to minimize the potential for diarrhea. If food is not provided, we will feed Science Diet Sensitive Stomach dry food.

Preparing yourself and your pet for a boarding stay:

May I tour the boarding facility?

You are welcome to tour our facility anytime during normal business hours to see first hand how your pet will be cared for by our loving staff during his or her stay.

What if my pet has never boarded before?

If your pet has never boarded before it is generally helpful to schedule daycare, or an overnight stay once or twice before your actual trip. This will help familiarize your pet with our staff, routines, and most importantly, let them know you will be returning to pick them up again.

Should I bring my pet's own food?

Yes! Bringing your pet's regular diet is always best. This will help prevent diarrhea and an upset stomach from new food. Being in a different environment with new people and other dogs may be somewhat stressful at first until they adjust to their new temporary, loving home.

May I bring my own toys and bedding?

Yes. You may bring any items that you feel may make your pet's stay feel more like home.

When do I pay?

You pay when you return to pick up your pet. If you have arranged to have someone else pick up your pet from our facility, you may prepay for the boarding stay. Please provide us with the pick-up person's name, and ask them to bring photo identification with them so we can verify who they are. If you experience an unscheduled delay in your return and have arranged for someone else to pick up your pet, we can take payment over the phone for your convenience.

What should I expect when I return home?

It is normal after returning home for your pet to sleep a little more than normal. It may have taken them some time to adjust to the level of activity in a boarding environment and they most likely will be tired from all the fun they had while you were away.

Gastric upset can be common during their stay and upon their return home. Some dogs, especially if they are not used to being boarded, may be nervous until they become acclimated to the routine of the facility. Gastric upset may cause a decrease in eating.

Help your pet settle back into their normal routine. Remember, your pet has been on vacation too, and although we strive to keep their routine as similar as possible to what they are used to, nothing can compare to home sweet home.
