Amanda (Certified Veterinary Technician, Inventory Manager)
Amanda graduated from St. Petersburg College's veterinary technology program in 1993, and in 2007 went on to earn her bachelor's degree in the same field. She is part of the National Veterinary Response Team, and spent 3 weeks assisting in the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. Amanda has been a part of the Boyette family since 1993. Away from work, Amanda enjoys travel, and spending time with family. Amanda shares her home with a dog: Sprout, and 2 cats: Molly and Truffle.
Rubi (Certified Veterinary Technician)
Rubi graduated from St. Petersburg College with her degree in veterinary technology. In addition to work, she is also a member of a performance salsa team that travels to various dance events around the country. Along with her love of salsa, Rubi also enjoys drawing, painting, calligraphy, and working out.
Teresa (Veterinary Technician)
Teresa has worked as a veterinary technician for over 10 years and has been a happy member of the Boyette family for over 7. She has 3 children (2 footed) and 3 of the 4 footed variety. She also has one grand child and 6 grand pets. Teresa works with rescue groups to try to find abandoned pets new homes. She loves to cook and bake, and when she finds spare time, she enjoys working on crafts and gardening.
Ginger (Veterinary Technician)
Ginger has a degree in zoo animal technology and has worked as a keeper for several years. She has had experience with mammals, reptiles and birds, and worked at Lowry Park’s manatee rehab and release hospital. She and her husband have a dog: Katana, 2 cats: Piper and Boots, and several snakes and lizards. Away from work, Ginger enjoys sewing, writing, and scuba diving.
Steve (Veterinary Technician)
Steve joined Boyette Animal Hospital in March, 2008. Originally from northeast Indiana, he has lived in Florida since 1994. Steve has always been an animal lover since he was a kid. His family had numerous pets while growing up in Indiana, but now he is quite fond of Pugs. Steve shares his home with 4 dogs: Kita, Cody, Kayla, and Annie, and 3 cats: Boots, Bear, and Kittee. Steve also keeps two aquariums; one being a 150 gallon freshwater and the other a 24 gallon micro-reef tank. Recently Steve has become a volunteer with a pug rescue group that is based in Central Florida.
Kathy (Veterinary Technician)
Ever since Kathy was a little girl, she has loved animals. She is a big fan of German shepherds, her absolute favorite breed. She is enrolled in nursing school with plans to graduate as a certified registered nurse anesthetist. Kathy shares her home with 2 dogs: Rocky Balboa (German shepherd), and Debo Licious Jr. (dachshund), 3 cats: Ticky, Oreo Double Stuffed, and Arwen Angelina, and a Quaker: Pin Pin.
Tasha (Veterinary Technician)
Tasha has been a veterinary technician since April of 1995. She has worked with various types of animals, from dogs and cats to exotics, livestock and wildlife. In 2007 she earned her veterinary assistant certification from the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and holds an associate degree in applied science. In 2006 she worked at the Houston SPCA for the summer and has appeared in a few episodes of Animal Cops Houston. She shares her home with 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 fish, 2 rabbits, and a prairie dog.
Danielle (Veterinary Technician)
Danielle has been in the veterinary industry for over 12 years. She holds a BA in biology and works with exotic wild animals such as wolves, tigers, and leopards. Danielle has a special knack when dealing with fearful or feral animals.
Rachel (Veterinary Technician)
Juan (Veterinary Technician)
Juan has a veterinary degree from his home country of Colombia, and is currently working on his veterinary license in the United States. He has worked at Boyette as a technician for four years, and has interned as part of his veterinary degree for the past six months. He has been involved with goat dairy farm management, and loves working with small animals as well. His favorite part of veterinary medicine is the surgical procedures. Away from work, Juan enjoys various sports and traveling.
